The Variety Club Golfing Society

The London Club. White tees. A fearsome challenge but one taken up by Society members and their guests.  The sun shone down on us as we played at the London with a strong field of members and their guests who were experiencing Variety Club for the first time. The day was once again sponsored by Alan Robinson and we were able to present another Sunshine Coach in the name of Robinson Jackson.  A long day out on the course was followed by an excellent dinner and then the prize-giving where everyone gets a prize. Last year’s winner went from first to last with this year’s winning pair putting together a remarkable 49 points.  Mark Lahiff and Russell Taylor headed Mark Tomkinson and Richard Smith by 6 points and so were first up to collect their prizes.  A great turn-out on an excellent course with the bar, as always, doing great trade.
