What We Do

The Golf Society has raised sufficient funds over the last few years to present around 30 Sunshine Coaches a year to deserving schools and care centres. The average cost of a coach is £32,000 which means that we have to raise close to £900,000 a year to keep this fantastic effort going.

All of the money is raised through the management and organisation of golf events. We have some 25 events a year ranging from member only events to Celeb/Ams, to Corporate days that we run on behalf of companies. We play on some superb courses like Walton Heath, Stoke Park, Burhill, Moor Park, St. Pierre and The London Club.

The majority of our events are sponsored either by a generous member or by companies who welcome the link to a Charitable organisation like ours. There are considerable PR benefits to be gained from an association with Variety Club. We are always looking for new partners who wish to contribute to the welfare of the children we support and are happy to discuss any ideas you may have.

Our season closes with a superb Stag Dinner in London when 600 – 700 will enjoy a great night of entertainment from some of the Celebrity members of the Golf Society. Around £100,000 is raised on the night and we are always delighted to see new faces at the event. Tables of 10 are open to all-comers.
