Membership

The Golf Society has two types of membership.

The first group of members is made up of celebrities from the world of entertainment and sport.

Members give freely of their time to support our events and to play alongside the amateurs who enter teams in the celebrity/amateur and sponsored events that we run during the course of a season.

The presence of our celebrities ensures that all participants enjoy a round of golf that is both enjoyable and memorable.

Past captains of the Society include Jimmy Tarbuck, Bruce Forsyth, Ronnie Corbett and Russ Abbot as well as sporting superstars like Sir Henry Cooper, John Conteh and Sir Trevor Brooking.

Stars from the worlds of cricket, football, snooker, boxing and athletics join forces with comedians, TV presenters, actors, musicians and singers to ensure a wide mix of highly recognisable faces at all of our events.

The second group of members comprises businessmen from all walks of life who enjoy the camaraderie of golf but are also committed to raising funds for the Charity.

Many of the membership are highly successful in their chosen fields and are now pleased to put time and effort in to helping those much less fortunate than themselves.

The mix of golf, some relaxed networking and a group of like-minded individuals provides the perfect formula.
