Variety Club Golf Society
The VCGS was founded in 1965 and has 2 very clear objectives. The first is to raise as much money as we can to allow us to purchase Sunshine Coaches which we present to schools and care centres looking after disabled and disadvantaged children. The second is to have as much fun as we can both on and off the golf course.
We are very successful in both areas! Over the last 3 years we have presented nearly 100 Sunshine Coaches and in doing so have made a big impression on the lives of a great many deserving kids. The sheer delight and excitement on the faces of the kids when they receive their new coach makes all the fund-raising efforts hugely worthwhile and we know from talking to the carers that it isn’t just the kids who get a massive lift!
The difference that we make is down to the fantastic support of our business and celebrity members who give so generously of their time and money.
